Flexible Pyeloscopy & Laser Stones

A flexible pyeloscopy is a procedure where the inside of the kidney is visualized using a very small telescope. The telescope is inserted via the urethra, through the bladder and up the ureter. The telescope has a working channel that allows passage of delicate instruments like laser fibers or stone retrieval baskets. The procedure is a day surgery procedure with discharge from hospital three to four hours post operatively.
